El va organitzar el director m\u00e8dic, el Dr. Alfredo Rego, juntament amb el seu equip, i el va inaugurar Joan Antoni Samaranch, aleshores president de la Diputaci\u00f3 de Barcelona, i hi van venir ponents de diversos llocs d\u2019Europa. En aquell moment la relaci\u00f3 entre llenguatge i psiquiatria era tan important com ara la que hi ha entre gen\u00e8tica i psiquiatria.
